Respected researcher and psychologist John Mayer says we can become the best version of ourselves by building our “personal intelligence” to understand ourselves and perceive what makes others tick.
According to Dr. Mayer, there is a wide range in ability among individuals to understand their own actions, and “perceive” others by:
- Reading other people's faces and body language
- Accurately weighing the choices we are presented with in relationships, work and family life
- Judging whether our various personal life goals conflict or blend together well
As we build this personal or “broader” intelligence, as Mayer refers to it, we are reportedly able to strengthen our ability to problem-solve and predict the actions of others.
