Connecticut To Extend Outdoor Dining Season

Gov. Ned Lamont’s administration announced Tuesday Connecticut will be extending its outdoor dining season past the Nov.12 cutoff. The Hartford Courant reports Lamont initially suspended local zoning rules in May to allow more space for outdoor seating. As temperatures start to drop, many restaurants across the state have invested in tents, heaters and fire pits to accommodate guests dining during the pandemic. With the extension, Lamont also urges municipalities to enforce restaurant COVID-19 safety protocols.
