After Budget Talks Collapse, What's Next?

Connecticut lawmakers failed to come to an agreement on a budget proposal Tuesday, with leaders from both parties blaming each other for their failure to act. This gridlock is new to the state legislature, a result of the most recent election: Parties are now evenly split in the Senate for the first time in over a century

What now? Republicans said they'll have their own budget by the end of the week, but it's unclear how they'll all come to a consensus. The only thing they have agreed on throughout the entire process is that several of Governor Dannel Malloy's proposals -- like pension reform and education funding -- are a no-go.

This hour, we continue our conversation on the state budget woes.
