Donald Trump Jr. thinks it's no big deal that he met with an emissary of the Russian government because the meeting didn't provide him with useful material.
Trump Jr. notes, "That's what we do in business." This morning, President Trump tweeted, "Most politicians would have gone to a meeting like the one Don Jr. attended in order to get info on an opponent. That's politics!"
There is no indication this investigation is going away despite Trump Administration attempts to conflate the ethics behind their business practices with running the U.S. government.
Also, this hour: Frontline, in collaboration with The New York Times, spent more than a year inside Connecticut's parole system, which leaders hope will reduce recidivism by better helping inmates re-enter society. We go inside with them. Life on Parole airs on PBS on Tuesday, July 18 at 10:00 pm Eastern.
Lastly, the long-running BBC series Doctor Who chose the first female to play Dr. Who in its fifty-four year history. Some are cheering; others are not so happy to have a woman in the role.
