Former President Bill Clinton headlined a rally in New Haven to raise money for Democrats running in elections across the country.
Clinton appeared at the event at the Omni New Haven Hotel on Tuesday. He was joined by Governor Dannel Malloy and Lt. Governor Nancy Wyman, who are seeking re-election in November. U.S. Senators Richard Blumenthal and Chris Murphy were also on hand for the event.
Democratic supporters received an email last week saying attendees can buy tickets online for $50.00 apiece. The ticket order form says money raised at the event will be used "in connection with federal elections."
