Gov. Malloy, Tom Foley Debate at Broadcasters Conference

Democratic Governor Dannel Malloy and Republican challenger Tom Foley debated on Thursday before a panel moderated by WNPR's Colin McEnroe. A third candidate for governor on the ballot, Joe Visconti, was not invited to this debate.

The event took place at a conference of the Connecticut Broadcasters Association at the Hartford Hilton.

The panel included Jenn Bernstein of FOX CT, Mark Davis of WTNH, Keisha Grant of NBC Connecticut, Dennis House of WFSB, and Steve Kotchko of the Connecticut Radio Network.

Federal funding is gone.

Congress has eliminated all funding for public media.
