President Barack Obama is postponing a trip to Bridgeport, Connecticut on Wednesday night in order to meet with his cabinet on the Ebola outbreak.
The White House said Obama is calling off a planned trip to Connecticut and New Jersey, and instead will convene cabinet officials coordinating the government's Ebola response at the White House.
The change comes as a second health worker in Dallas who provided care for the first Ebola patient diagnosed in the U.S. has tested positive for the disease.
Obama had planned to speak at a fundraiser for Senate Democrats in Union, New Jersey, and then headline a rally for Connecticut Governor Dannel Malloy at Central High School in Bridgeport.
The rally will be rescheduled in the coming weeks, according to the Connecticut Democratic Party.
