We're having a pun contest this Wednesday, October 24, 1-2 pm. Wanna join? Send us a pun on any of these topics - animals, food, politics. (Or, just send us your best)

Call us at 860-275-7266 during our live show, Tweet us anytime @wnprcolin, or comment on this post on our Facebook page.

The winner(s) will receive 'some kind of prize' from our punel of judges. They will choose the best and punt the rest. (Is this even a pun? We'll talk about that.)

Punster Charles Lamb said that a pun is like "a pistol let off at the ear: not a feather to tickle the intellect." Charles Lamb is not sheepish, notes Where We Live producer, Lydia Brown. Okay, okay, we herd you Lydia Brown. I would add that nor does he wean any grassitude from pun lovers.

So, am I on a roll here or just a baguette? (Thanks to intern Penina Beede for that bun) Don't challah at me, says Lydia. (I personally think you have to be baked to enjoy that one.)

GUESTS:

Colin McEnroe, Chion Wolf, Lydia Brown contributed to this show.

Betsy started as an intern at WNPR in 2011 after earning a Master's Degree in American and Museum Studies from Trinity College. She served as the Senior Producer for 'The Colin McEnroe Show' for several years before stepping down in 2021 and returning to her previous career as a registered nurse. She still produces shows with Colin and the team when her schedule allows.
