Four young guys in dark mop-top haircuts, slightly mod suits peer with disarming insoucience from the cover of an album produced by Capitol Records.

Before you say John, Paul, George and Ringo, meet the Redwalls, a Chicago-based quartet touring the country with a new CD, de nova, that does indeed evoke the sound of the early Beatles, among other influences.

Brothers Justin and Logan Baren take a break from a frantic tour of the country to tell Jennifer Ludden what they're up to writing music that (save for the "parental advisory, explicit content" warning) could have been in the Top 40 more than 40 years ago.
