Fundamental Connecticut

In 1639, The Fundamental Orders of Connecticut declared that a government's "authority is in the free consent of the people."  This revolutionary idea earned Connecticut the nickname "The Constitution State" and inspires "Fundamental Connecticut," a new series about how our state government works today.

This series is a CPBN Partnership Production, paid for by the Robert and Margaret Patricelli Family Foundation.

Episode 1: How does our state legislature work?

Episode 2: How are state lawmakers elected?

Episode 3: What's in the state budget?

Episode 4: How well is the state's economy growing compared to other states?

Episode 5: State Debt, Deficits and Unfunded Liabilities: What's the Difference?
