Natalie Cole.

Natalie Cole struggled to step out of the shadows of R&B icon Aretha Franklin and the longer shadow of her father, singer Nat King Cole. But she did it with her stellar voice and lasting, if under-appreciated, contributions to R&B, soul, and jazz.

George R.R. Martin says he can't finish Winds of Winterthe sixth installment behind HBO's beloved "Game of Thrones," before the show's sixth season starts in April. He says he's always had trouble with deadlines and that he's most comfortable writing at his own pace. But, his fans aren't happy. How much do artists like Martin owe their fans? And, do deadlines and creativity go together?

Last, Colin talks about the standoff in Oregon between federal officials and a group of armed protestors, led by Ammon Bundy, son of Cliven Bundy, famous for his own standoff in 2014 over cattle-grazing rights. They're occupying the federal property of Malheur National Wildlife Refuge on behalf of two local ranchers sentenced to jail time for setting fires on public land. The ranchers are willing to go to jail and most of the protestors surrounding their sentence don't want any trouble. So, why is Ammon Bundy protesting. Colin will be taking your calls.
