After years of speculation, rumors, and whispers, we finally heard this week what we had long expected. The only problem is I can't tell whether I'm talking about the Higgs boson or Anderson Cooper.

Today on the Nose, we'll talk about both and whether Cooper's revelation was less of a risk than that of hiphop artist Frank Ocean. 
 
Also on the agenda, the attempt to drive "excessive grunting" out of women's tennis and a much forwarded online essay about people who claim they're busy. 
 
And yes, the Higgs Boson came out too and cost Stephen Hawking one hundred bucks. Never bet against a quantum particle. Particle physics is usually an esoteric topic. So how did this discovery turn into one of the week's big memes?
