The proposed entertainment resort at Incheon International Airport

The Mohegan Tribal Gaming Authority -- the body that runs the Mohegan Sun casino -- has entered a partnership to to develop an entertainment resort at a South Korean airport. The MTGA says it will work with the Incheon International Airport Corporation to build what they're describing as a gateway entertainment city.

It will include a casino, hotel, and retail, as well as restaurants, a movie theater and an indoor-outdoor amusement park. The 800-acre complex will incorporate a private jet terminal. The Mohegans haven't yet said how much it might cost to build out the resort.

Incheon Airport serves 45 million passengers a year. The CEO of the airport corporation, Park Wan-su, described the project as an "important step in Incheon Airport’s continued efforts to become a global mega-hub airport."

President of MTGA Bobby Soper said it was an opportunity to "create the leading, first-of-its kind offering for travelers across the world."
