The Freakonomics Of Everything

http://cptv.vo.llnwd.net/o2/ypmwebcontent/Tucker/Where%20We%20Live%20020712.mp3

“Freakonomics” changed the way we think about...well, everything. About people’s motivations, their actions, their desires and dreams.

Stephen Dubner and economist Steven Levitt found ways to tell stories that explain how economies work - that drew us in, and made us question the conventional wisdom.

Now, of course, Freakonomics is a lot more than just a book.

Freakonomics turned into a New York Times column, a feature film and yes...a radio series. The latest season of Freakonomics Radio dives into topics ranging from the power of the presidency to booing.

Today, Stephen Dubner joins us to preview the rest of this season. We’ll also ask him about translating the book into a radio program and what topics are ahead for the Freakonomics team.

We also hear Dubner’s story about witnessing something no restaurant patron wants to see in their food: a dead mouse. What led this mouse to this plate of food? You’ll find out?

You can hear Freakonomics Radio on WNPR on Sunday at 2pm.
