Bronin set up two committees and is setting up five policy working groups.
Hartford Mayor-elect Luke Bronin is gearing up to take office in the early morning hours of January 1. He announced his transition team on Wednesday morning.
Standing in front of Hartford City Hall, Bronin said he had set up two committees: one on personnel, and one on finance and audits. The members of the committees include current and former politicians, non-profit leaders, and business executives. Bronin will chair his personnel committee; the financial review committee will be chaired by Bonnie Malley, Chief Financial Officer of the Phoenix Companies.
Bronin is also setting up five policy working groups, which will cover blighted property, prison reentry, youth employment, recreation, and “Hartford Works.”
As he prepares to take office, Bronin said he has asked Mayor Pedro Segarra for transition memos from each of his departments. Bronin said those memos are forthcoming. Bronin is also setting up two town hall meetings – one on December 5, the other on December 15.
