  • LAWS - Danny discusses the future of Congressional efforts to revamp the nation's environment laws with Bob Benenson of Congressional Quarterly and Stephen Klineberg, Professor of Sociology at Rice University. Yesterday, 51 House Republicans broke ranks with the leadership to join democrats and kill proposals that would have curbed the Environmental Protection Agency's power to enforce the clean air and water acts.

  • It's been a rough time for the Idaho Republican Party. Sen. Larry Craig, a conservative, was arrested for peeping and disorderly conduct inside an airport restroom. Now there is another Idaho Republican who may be in trouble on Nov. 4.
  • A federal panel approves Pentagon plans to close the Army's Walter Reed Medical Center in Washington, D.C. The Pentagon proposes to move most of the operations at Walter Reed to the nearby Bethesda Naval Hospital with some services going to a new facility to be built at Fort Belvoir, Va.

He's starring in "Donnie Brasco" with Johnny Depp. Before that Pacino directed, produced and starred in the experimental film "Richard the Third" that goes behind the scenes of a production of Shakespeare's Richard the Third.
