President Barack Obama speaks to the press for the final time while living in the White House.

President Barack Obama gave his final press conference at the White House on Wednesday, less than 48 hours before Donald Trump is sworn in. The topics included his recent commutation of Chelsea Manning's prison sentence, immigration, and the role of the press.

Obama also looked back on his time in office and ahead to the incoming administration. He didn't divulge many details about conversations he's had with President-elect Trump.

"I can't tell you how convincing I've been," said Obama. "I think you'd have to ask him whether I've been convincing or not."

Despite concerns among many members of his party, Obama spoke more optimistically. "At my core, I think we're going to be OK," he said.
