Here's how we see it. We get an hour a day on this amazing medium of public radio. On average, we do about 20 new shows a month, give or take. Do the math and that's about 230 or 240 episodes a year. To do that, we need to go pretty fast, and we started to worry that the countryside was flashing past us.
It's difficult, when moving at that velocity, to see something you might be doing wrong, to maximize one of your better tendencies, or two imagine veering off in a different direction.
So we added this new monthly episode called the Process. It's a show where we pull over to the side of the road, check the map and make sure we're going where we mean to go. I know, nobody uses maps anymore. But it's also a chance to have an on-air staff meeting with you. What are your thoughts on the show? What could we do better?
Later in the show, an update with geneticist Brenton Graveley about how much neanderthal DNA is in Colin's genome.
