There Will Be Blood (Donated!)

http://cptv.vo.llnwd.net/o2/ypmwebcontent/Chion/Colin%20McEnroe%20Show%2001-31-13.mp3

We know blood donation is important. One way this was confirmed for me was on 9/11, when blood centers were crammed with people - including me - all feeling helpless and all wanting to do something useful. The rest of the time, it's easy to forget. We know i'ts important, but we don't do it.

That's why we're in Norwich today for the opening of a new collection center. As you'll hear, donations are currently off, and January, for some reason, is a difficult time to get people motivated.

On that day 12 years ago, it turned out blood wasn't that much help - It wasn't that kind of disaster. But urgent situations develop all the time, the idea is to have the blood in the bank before they happen, so today, some of us from the staff of the show will donate blood, as will Congressman Joe Courtney.
