What a week.  Here's what we're tackling on The Nose today.

Well, we can't NOT talk about Pope Francis. I'm fascinated by his austere lifestyle and how it's going to mesh with the high-ranking cardinals in the Curia, who mostly do not live that way at all.

 
New York Times religion writer Mark Oppenheimer is on the panel today, and he'll lead us through a conversation about people who observe Lent, even though they're not observant Christians. We'll also talk about the way a Connecticut TV station, Fox 61, made national news when a report on International Women's Day was accompanied by a montage of women's cleavage.

 
I'm also fascinated by a New York Times magazine article about Ted Kennedy Jr. who lives in Branford, Conn. and seems finally ready to have political aspirations -- and disarmingly open about it.
