A Glimpse Into The Dark Side of Technology

We all depend on technology and its vast, positive potential on everything from poverty to medicine, but there’s a flip side. As we gear up for the Internet of Things, with greater connections come greater risks.

There's no computer that can't be hacked… so far, which is a sobering revelation considering that our crucial service sectors are almost completely reliant on computer technology. These include health-care, water, gas, defense, emergency services, and much more.

We’ll talk with Marc Goodman, one of the world’s leading authorities on global security, about his book Future Crimes. He talks about the digital underground, how the information we're freely giving away can be used against us, and what we can do about it.

If you find yourself a little nervous after this conversation, he has a 6-step process to improve your cyber safety.

Join the conversation on Twitter or Facebook.
