There's a major outbreak of COVID-19 at the Southbury Training School. The Hartford Courant reports 25 percent of the more-than 150 residents have been infected in the past month. The facility serves mostly people who are elderly and have intellectual disabilities. Since the start of the pandemic, two residents and four employees have died from COVID-19.
Congress has eliminated all funding for public media.
