The nomination of Judge Brett Kavanaugh to fill the seat of departing Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy had already widened the chasm between Democrats and Republicans before allegations of sexual assault against Kavanaugh blew it wide open.
Now, each side has dug in deeper as new allegations swirl around Kavanaugh. Kavanaugh with his wife Ashley by his side, defended himself Monday evening on Fox News and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said in the very near future Brett Kavanaugh will be on the Supreme Court.
On the other side: Yale Law School students protested Monday against Kavanaugh and The New Yorker published allegations from a second woman. Michael Avenatti promises another accuser is coming.
