Whoever said blood is thicker than water never played for the Jacksonville Jaguars

A MARTÍNEZ, HOST:

Good morning, I'm A Martínez. Whoever said blood is thicker than water never played for the Jacksonville Jaguars. NFL teams had to cut down the rosters this week, and Jags head coach Doug Pederson cut tight end Josh Pederson, his own son. Definitely can't accuse Josh of being a nepo baby. Josh was always a long shot to make the team as there were four players ahead of him on the depth chart. Dad joke - it's not the first time he's had to give his son bad news. I wonder, though, whose side mom was on. Transcript provided by NPR, Copyright NPR.
