It appeared the Detroit Pistons were going to snap their record losing streak

A MARTÍNEZ, HOST:

Good morning. I'm A Martínez. For a minute, it looked like the Detroit Pistons were going to snap their record single-season losing streak of 27 games last night. Detroit was up 19 going into the third quarter against the Boston Celtics, one of the NBA's best teams. But Boston made a big push in the second half and rallied to win by six in overtime, meaning the Pistons extended their record to 28 losses in a row. Hey, at least Detroit has the NFC North division champion Lions - better than nothing. It's MORNING EDITION. Transcript provided by NPR, Copyright NPR.
