A nonprofit helps thousands of musicians in Austin pay for insurance

Austin is lauded for its live music scene, but many musicians struggle to get by. A nonprofit helps thousands of them pay their monthly insurance premiums. And the model is being tried elsewhere.

Federal funding is gone.

Congress has eliminated all funding for public media.

That means $2.1 million per year that Connecticut Public relied on to deliver you news, information, and entertainment programs you enjoyed is gone.
