Local Survey Explores Community Well-Being; Saud Anwar Discusses Refugee Life in Jordan
DataHaven, a New Haven-based nonprofit organization, recently completed the nation’s largest survey on community well-being. This hour, we take a look at the results and consider what they reveal about health, happiness, and quality of life in Connecticut.
Later, we check in with South Windsor town council member and former mayor Saud Anwar. Last month, he visited the Kingdom of Jordan, where he met with Syrian refugees. He tells us what he saw and learned about the situation there.
We also get an update on local refugee resettlement efforts -- including some ambitious goals for 2016.
