We are submitting a compilation of audio from four episodes of The Wheelhouse, Connecticut Public’s weekly politics talk show. Our first clip reflects our team’s effort to respond to former President Biden’s sudden announcement that he was no longer in the presidential race. Our second clip reflects our attempt to better understand how a person’s age and the generation they belong to impacts their political beliefs. Our third segment comes from an episode of The Wheelhouse that took a closer look at Project 2025. The idea for this episode came from a survey of our listeners. We found that, out of over 750 responses, many listeners were confused about Project 2025 and its goals. Our final audio clip reflects a series of candidate interviews conducted with candidates for Connecticut’s congressional districts.

Our election night show was the culmination of a year-long effort to cover developing news from the campaign trail. Featured in the show was analysis of a survey that we did of listeners on key issues. There were also field reports from journalists to preview election returns. Finally—aiming for inclusion among members of our local Latino communities—we had a bilingual call screener and showcased audio from a visit to a local parade in Hartford, CT.
