Sentences matter today at The Wheelhouse Digest. Tom Foley visited Where We Live to explain some accusatory words he levied against Governor Dannel Malloy in recent days. DONOVAN AIDE SENTENCED TO 28 MONTHS
Joshua Nassi, former campaign manager, conspired to block legislation for cash.

Chris Donovan's former campaign manager, Joshua Nassi, was sentenced to 28 months in prison today after pleading guilty to conspiring to block tobacco tax legislation in exchange for $27,500 in campaign contributions. Fellow conspirator Robert Braddock, Jr., Donovan's campaign finance director, was sentenced to 38 months in prison after going to trial.

HARTFORD YIELDS TAKE-HOME VEHICLES LIST
The list includes 61 names, but it's a little outdated.

The City of Hartford released a list of city employees who maintain a take-home vehicle. It's a hot topic lately, given the financial troubles the city has faced, as well as a fiasco or two around city employees abusing their vehicle usage or just downright breaking the law with them.

THIS ROHDE MAY HAVE ...TRANSIT GROUPIES?
The Connecticut Commuter Council gets a new member.

Michael Rohde ("roadie"), mayor of Meriden, was appointed Wednesday to the Connecticut Commuter Rail Council by Governor Malloy, among three others named yesterday. As Mark Pazniokas reports, this entity replaces the Metro-North New Haven Rail Commuter Council.
