It's been an interesting week for Connecticut U.S. Senators. President Donald Trump said Richard Blumenthal misrepresented a conversation with Supreme Court nominee Neil Gorsuch. In a tweet, Trump called out the Senator for an incident in 2010: "Sen. Richard Blumenthal, who never fought in Vietnam when he said for years he had (major lie)."
And the Trump White House team is doing opposition research on Democrats who may be a threat to Trump's reelection in 2020 -- including Chris Murphy, who's been vocal about Trump aides ties to Russian intelligence.
Also, the fallout from Governor Dan Malloy's proposed budget continues, with the largest teachers union in the state now putting money towards ads criticizing the Governor.
