A Hopping Industry: Local Brewing In Connecticut

Connecticut’s beer industry is ‘hopping’--there are nearly 50 breweries in the state, and counting.

This hour, we talk beer--who’s making it and why?

There’s no doubt that New England’s interest in craft beer has ‘bubbled over’ in recent decades, from home-brewing hobbyists to production of nationally-recognized brands.

What’s fueling our thirst for local beer?

And though many of Connecticut’s local breweries are relatively new, New Englanders have been making beer for hundreds of years.

A brewer-turned-author will walk us through that history.

Are you an aspiring craft brewer? Do you want to open a brewery in the state?

GUESTS
