Moving Company Reports Conn. Remains Top State People Left in 2020

United Van Lines, an American moving company, reported 63 percent of the moves they handled last year in Connecticut were people leaving the state. That according to the company’s national migration study released Monday. Connecticut ranked number four for top outbound states in 2020 and the primary reasons for people leaving were jobs and retirement. The new report comes months after the company ranked Connecticut as number three for top states people chose to migrate to because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Federal funding is gone.

Congress has eliminated all funding for public media.

That means $2.1 million per year that Connecticut Public relied on to deliver you news, information, and entertainment programs you enjoyed is gone.
