Connecticut Food Bank, FoodShare Announce Merger

The Connecticut Food Bank and Foodshare have announced the two organizations are considering a merger to better serve the community. In the past, the two have worked together on food distribution, advocacy and more. Officials say that’s paved the way for a formal merger. The new statewide organization, which will have a new name, will continue operating from Bloomfield and Wallingford. As of now, there are no plans for staff reductions.

Federal funding is gone.

Congress has eliminated all funding for public media.

That means $2.1 million per year that Connecticut Public relied on to deliver you news, information, and entertainment programs you enjoyed is gone.
