Valerie Friedman Emerging Journalist InternCarolyn is a senior at Wesleyan University, where she is majoring in the College of Letters, and minoring in Economics and German Studies.
She was formerly Editor-in-Chief of the Wesleyan Argus, the university’s student newspaper. Carolyn has also held editorial and reporting positions at U.S. News and World Report, OpenSecrets and The New York Review of Books.

The Freedom Trail recognizes the accomplishments, contributions and history of Connecticut’s African American community. Williams was 39 years old when he died, after the vehicle he was driving was struck by a wrong-way driver on Route 9 in Cromwell in 2023.

House Bill No. 5550, proposed in March, denies any student or member of the public access to course syllabi created by faculty at public colleges and universities. Syllabi would also no longer be stored on university computers, servers, or storage systems.
