The Collision Of Brett Kavanaugh And America's Moral Code

Supreme Court

Today, we have no guests. We want to hear from you. We canceled our previously planned show so we could dedicate the entire hour to understanding how you are feeling about the nomination of Brett Kavanaugh to the  Supreme Court.

Recently, Kavanaugh has been accused of sexual assault by a woman who knew him in high school 35 years ago. Will Congress delay his hearings until this claim is fully investigated?

There's more: Senator Patrick Leahy, who has served in the Senate for 44 years, 20 years as the top Democrat on the Judiciary Committee, says Kavanaugh misled the Senate during his 2006 confirmation for a judgeship to the D.C. Circuit Court.

Kavanaugh also clerked for a judge accused of sexual harassment by at least 15 women and who maintained an email group with his clerks where he shared misogynist and racist gags. Did Kavanaugh know about any of it?

All of these allegations should be comprehensively investigated before we honor him with a lifetime appointment to the Supreme Court--an appointment that should go only to those with impeachable integrity. Will it happen? If it does and allegations turn into truth, will it matter?
