PBS Nature Inspires Her Love of Beavers

Season 1 Episode 2 | 5m 42s

University of Minnesota ecohydrologist Emily Fairfax shares how a 2014 episode of the PBS show “Nature” inspired her to make a career transition from working with nuclear weapons to researching beavers. Once nearly hunted to extinction, beavers are quietly reshaping the American West, building wetlands that fight drought and wildfire.

Made possible in part by support provided by Sue Hart-Wadley and Searle Wadley with additional support from Jerry Cox.
