2016 Holiday Rules: Eat, Drink (Wine), and Tell Great Stories

Whether it's red or white, boxed or bottled -- few beverages stimulate the senses quite like a glass of wine does. Still, the science behind how the human body "tastes" wine -- well, it's more complex than you might think.

This hour, we take a closer look at why that is with neuroscientist Gordon Shepherd. His new book is called Neuroenology: How the Brain Creates the Taste of Wine.

And if wine isn’t enough of an incentive to gather around the party table, perhaps a good story will do the trick. Later in the hour, we talk with local storytelling experts and we also hear from you.

Do you have a favorite folktale -- one you plan on sharing with your family this holiday season?
