No Kidding: World's Best Strawberry Shortcake

Earl/flickr creative commons

Chill with a brandy-laced sangria by Alex Province, and while you're sipping, try our lip-smacking chicken burgers, juicy from buffalo-style wing sauce and topped with crumbled blue cheese.

Oh, but we think there's still room for more fun, so we have one of our favorite recipes for chili-spiced fresh corn from the cookbook Fish by Cree LeFavour. After cutting the corn off the cob, you mix it in a skillet with chile, coriander and cumin seeds, and a little olive oil.

We use flavored butters on many of our steaks and burgers. We tell you how to mix your favorite butter with blue cheese, a spice rub, or fresh chopped herbs… a dollop on your meat and it's unforgettable. (Faith sometimes buys prepared truffle butter and puts a pat on hot steak, or uses it in potato salad.)

Don't even think about ending your meal without the best strawberry shortcake on the planet, because it features Miriam's brown butter spice cake as the biscuit, and it's even gluten-free. Seriously, the best strawberry shortcake we've ever eaten. Period.
