We’re about two months from the four-year anniversary of Hurricane Maria’s landfall in Puerto Rico. The Category 5 storm devastated the island, killed more than 3,000, caused the worst electrical blackout in U.S. history and sent many residents scrambling for safety in places like Connecticut and Massachusetts. Connecticut Public Radio sent a crew to Puerto Rico recently to report on how or if the island is recovering. Our reporter Brenda León was a part of that crew. She spoke on All Things Considered about the latest on Puerto Rico’s recovery.
